Hi, my name is Daniar, but you can call me Dan. Currently I am a Machine Learning Systems Engineer at MangoBoost. I graduated from the Computer Science Ph.D. program at the University of Chicago in June 2024, where I had the privilege of being advised by Professor Haryadi Gunawi.
I have a strong background in Machine Learning and Distributed Systems, with over 7 years of experience in Cloud Systems research. I enjoy tackling difficult research questions and overseeing projects from inception to completion. In addition to my own research, I have also mentored over 10 undergraduate and master's students in a research mentorship program over the past three years. In total, I have published nine papers in peer-reviewed conferences, with four of them being first-author contributions. Some of these papers have been accepted at top Systems Conferences such as ASPLOS, OSDI, SIGCOMM, and EUROSYS
